Unspoken Word

Reflective writing. Spoken word. The words we carry and the things left unsaid.

Unspoken Word is a six-week reflective writing and spoken word programme creating space to explore the words we carry, the things we haven’t said and the process of finding our own voice.

Through journaling, creative writing and spoken word, participants are gently encouraged to explore their thoughts and experiences in their own way and at their own pace.

You don’t need to be a writer or performer to take part. There is no pressure to share anything you don’t want to share.

How Unspoken Word Works

Each course runs over six weeks, with a different focus each week. Sessions combine guided journaling, creative writing prompts, discussion and opportunities to explore spoken word.

The emphasis is on creating a supportive, respectful space where participants can write without judgement and decide for themselves what they want to share.

You don’t need any previous writing or performance experience to take part.
