My Story

After leaving school with no formal qualifications, I returned to education as a mature student, completing a BA in English and Creative Writing and an MA in Creative Writing. That journey showed me the transformative power of learning, writing, and self-expression, and it continues to shape the way I work with others.

I’ve worked extensively in educational and family support roles, supporting children with complex needs, helping families through challenging circumstances, and coordinating volunteers to provide tailored support. These experiences taught me how to listen, adapt, and create environments where people feel safe, understood, and encouraged.

Some of my poetry has been published in anthologies, which has

allowed me to share my creative voice more widely and bring that professional experience into my workshops and spoken word events.

I am also a trained Freedom Programme facilitator (2018) and hold Mental Health First Aid certification. This enables me to provide structured, supportive spaces for women who are currently experiencing or recovering from domestic abuse.

As well as delivering community workshops that foster personal growth, creativity, and resilience.

At the heart of everything I do is the belief that every voice matters. Whether through workshops, journaling, spoken word, or facilitation, I am dedicated to helping people express themselves, connect with others, and discover the confidence and power that comes from being heard.
