Llangollen Spoken Word

The last Monday of every month | 7:30pm
Gales Wine Bar, Llangollen

A welcoming monthly spoken word and open mic night in the heart of Llangollen. Whether you’re an experienced performer, sharing your words for the first time, or simply want to come along and listen, you’re very welcome.

Poetry, prose, storytelling and spoken word are all welcome. There’s no pressure to perform — listening is just as much a part of the evening.

Open Mic

Sign up on the night to share your work. You’re welcome to read your own poetry, prose or spoken word, or simply come along and enjoy listening to others.

Llangollen Spoken Word is about creating a supportive, welcoming space for words and voices — especially for anyone who might be stepping up to the microphone for the first time.

£5 entry | £3 concessions

Money should never be a barrier — please speak to Daisy if cost would prevent you from attending.

What to Expect

Expect an evening of poetry, spoken word, stories, laughter, reflection and plenty of different voices. There’s no particular style you need to fit and no experience required.

We want Llangollen Spoken Word to feel like a place where people can experiment, share something new, meet other writers and feel part of a creative community.
