Fringe Festival

At Llangollen Fringe, I had the joy of leading a programme of creative workshops, bringing together volunteers and facilitators to make each event a meaningful experience.

Each facilitator brought something different from Naked Voice Fragments & Reflections, to Poetry Walks, Spoken Word Evenings, Reflective Journaling, Book Talks, Eco Poetry & Film, and more — every session invited participants to explore their voice, tell their stories, and connect with others in a welcoming space.

All workshops were fully booked, and many attendees have continued with our regular spoken word nights and creative workshops, keeping the energy and creativity flowing year-round.

I planned, organised and hosted the Fringe Spoken Word Evening, welcoming an audience of over 50 people. Many of the performers were regular attendees at our spoken word nights, and through the consistent, supportive spaces I’ve developed, their confidence had grown to the point where they felt ready to perform on a larger stage.

The evening was a powerful celebration of voice, courage and community — a moment where emerging writers stepped forward and were truly heard.

Testimonials

Kind Words

El

Llangollen Spoken Word

"Daisy’s spoken work evenings are nothing short of magical – always full of a beautiful variety of artists and poetry from the heart. The space is so supportive and encouraging for both established writers and those just starting out – it’s been a fantastic place for me to meet other spoken word poets, grow in confidence as a poet, get new ideas and inspiration, and experiment with reading new pieces of work. Thanks Daisy for your dedication to making this space a really special part of Llangollen’s creative community and of the north Wales poetry scene as a whole.."

Poetry Workshop

"Being part of the Poetry Workshops is a wonderful experience. Interacting with like minded people in a creative space every week is really inspirational and performing at Spoken Word is something we never thought we would do. It is so rewarding, healing, emotional and joyful. Finding places within ourselves that we can write about helps us emotionally and spiritually. Michelle is a brilliant facilitator and organiser and I highly recommend both the workshops and Spoken Word."
